In a video shared on its X page, the commission noted that it has noticed individuals misusing its identity in online content without permission.

The EFCC emphasized that many of these portrayals do not accurately reflect its operations and principles, stating, “Many of these skits misrepresent our values and standard operating procedures. We want to make it clear that the EFCC has not granted approval for such uses.”
