The initiative is a key component of CAF’s broader strategy to advance football across Africa. The NFF is actively coordinating the rollout in Nigeria, with selected schools in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory set to benefit.

Epe Grammar School boasts a distinguished list of alumni, including Hon. Wale Raji, a current member of the House of Representatives for the Epe Federal Constituency; Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji, former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly; and Barrister Tunde Doherty.

The program is expected to significantly impact youth football in Nigeria, creating pathways for students to hone their skills and potentially emerge as future stars of the game. This recognition also enhances the school’s reputation as a center for athletic development.

The event highlighted the effective collaboration between CAF, the NFF, and the LSFA in their shared mission to promote football from the ground up, serving as an inspiration for other schools and communities to invest in youth sports.
