Governor Adeleke emphasized that no individual or group, regardless of status or influence, should be shielded from justice if found culpable. “No one or group, no matter how highly placed or connected, found to be culpable in one way or the other should be spared from facing the full brunt of the law,” he declared.

While commiserating with the victims and their families, the governor reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring justice, noting that fairness and due process must guide the investigation. He stressed that “justice must not only be done but must be seen to be done without any let or hindrance.”

Governor Adeleke also cautioned against acts of impunity or lawlessness during the process, insisting that the investigation must be transparent and devoid of bias. “I will not condone violation of the law or any act of indiscipline and impunity. In this matter, the law must take its course,” he added.

The governor further called on all security agencies, including the Department of State Services (DSS), the Amotekun Security Service, and other relevant bodies, to maintain peace and order in the affected area while the investigation continues.

The governor’s statement follows public concern over the Akinlalu killings, which have drawn attention across the state and beyond, prompting swift action from security agencies to restore calm and ensure justice.
