During a plenary session on Thursday led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, the Minority Leader, Hon. Olajide Oguntodu (Akure South 1), along with his deputy, Hon. Oluwatoyin Daodu (Akoko South West 1), announced their decision to resign from the PDP and join the APC.
They attributed their choice to internal conflicts within the PDP and discussions held with their families, constituents, and political figures.
This departure signifies the complete disappearance of PDP representation in the 26-member Assembly, solidifying the APC’s dominance in the state legislature.
