According to a notice announcing the event, the town hall is designed as a platform for a “no-filter dialogue” between Hamzat and members of the younger generation on the future of Lagos.

The organisers said participants would have the opportunity to raise questions, share ideas and engage Hamzat on issues affecting young people and the direction of the state.

Hamzat, who is seeking to succeed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in 2027, is expected to share his vision for Lagos beyond 2027 during the engagement. He emerged as the APC’s governorship candidate for the 2027 Lagos State election in May 2026.

His proposed policy agenda for Lagos includes digital transformation, infrastructure, education and human capital development, healthcare, economic development and job creation, as well as security and safety.

The town hall comes amid increasing political engagement with young voters in Lagos ahead of the 2027 elections. On September 28, 2026, The PUNCH reported that a student-led group in the state had publicly declared support for Hamzat and other candidates ahead of the elections.

The Gen Z Town Hall is scheduled to take place at The Covenant Place, Iganmu, Lagos, on October 1.

Registration is compulsory, with prospective participants directed to scan the QR code on the event flyer to secure their seats.
