Hon Hunpe empowers 200 person with disabilities, launches Badagry’s first PWD secretariat 

Hon. Babatunde Hunpe, the Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, has empowered 200 individuals with disabilities by providing them with financial assistance and has also unveiled a newly established secretariat dedicated to the disability community.

This empowerment event, part of the sixth phase of the Renewed Hope Asiwaju Cash Support Programme, took place at the Badagry Local Government Secretariat and was specifically tailored to address the distinct needs and contributions of Persons with Disabilities.

During his speech at the gathering, Hon. Hunpe emphasized his administration’s ongoing commitment to implementing policies and programs that foster equality, inclusion, and collective prosperity for all residents.

He highlighted the importance of prioritizing this particular support for individuals in the disability community.

This initiative garnered broad support from various stakeholders, including the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Bankole Mautin Asokere, the Council Manager, Mrs. Avoseh-Akwe Senami Oluwakemi, APC Badagry LGA Apex Leader, Chief Moses Zannu Ogunbiyi, and APC Badagry LGA Chairman, Hon. Gafar Muritala Meyon.

They commended Hon. Hunpe for his sincere commitment to the welfare of individuals with disabilities and encouraged the recipients to use the financial aid wisely.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Sejuro Ekundayo, the Special Adviser on People with Disabilities, conveyed sincere gratitude to the Chairman.
