Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has entered into a $120 million Memorandum of Understanding with the African Industries Group to launch a cutting-edge greenhouse project in Gujeni, Kaduna State.
In his statement, the governor referred to his recent trip to Bucharest, Romania, as a significant milestone for Kaduna’s efforts to leverage its rich agricultural potential. During this visit, he participated in the signing of the agreement with the African Industries Group, led by Chairman Mr. Raj Gupta, alongside the Bank of Agriculture. He noted that this partnership aims to revolutionize irrigation farming in Gurara and mark the beginning of a new agricultural era.

The governor emphasized that this collaboration goes beyond investment, positioning Kaduna to become a future center of agro-industrial excellence. By leveraging the State’s Special Agro-Processing Zone (SAP-Z) and the Africa Quality Assurance Centre (AQAC), farmers will be empowered to compete on a global level. This initiative seeks to enhance food security, promote prosperity in rural areas, and create quality job opportunities for the youth.
Additionally, he underscored Romania’s strong agricultural reputation and its connections to the European market, asserting that this partnership will strengthen Kaduna’s role in international trade. Governor Uba Sani reiterated the commitment to building a robust and globally integrated economy that ensures prosperity for all citizens of Kaduna.
