Lagos airport police are preparing to charge two individuals, Enaruna Prince Aghama (51) and Tony Ajayi (43), for inappropriate behavior that could disturb public peace.
According to a statement from ASP Mohammed Adeola, the spokesperson for the Airport Police Command, the suspects were handed over to the International Airport Police Division by Aviation Security (AVSEC) upon the arrival of their aircraft at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, Lagos, for further investigation.

Adeola noted that an initial investigation revealed that on July 9 at approximately 7:44 PM, while traveling on an Air Peace flight from South Africa to Lagos, the suspects ignited cigarettes inside the plane, triggering the smoke detection and emergency alarm system and causing alarm among passengers and crew.

Additionally, further inquiries indicated that the suspects had an alcoholic drink and acted aggressively when attempted to be calmed by cabin crew, which further disturbed the flight’s order.
