The visit, which took place on Monday, July 20, 2026, was aimed at strengthening collaboration between lawmakers and security agencies while promoting strategies to enhance public safety, peace and effective policing within the zone.
Senator Eshilokun, who is also the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Marine Transport, was accompanied by members of his entourage during the visit to the Zone 2 Police Headquarters.

During the meeting, the Lagos Central lawmaker praised officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force for their dedication, professionalism and sacrifices in protecting lives and property across Lagos and Ogun States.
Eshilokun acknowledged the challenges faced by security agencies and applauded the police for their resilience in maintaining law and order despite prevailing security concerns.
