In celebration of the 2025 Domestic and Sexual Violence Awareness Month, the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA), alongside the Office of the Head of Service, hosted the annual “Turn Alausa Purple” campaign at the Alausa Secretariat in Ikeja.
The Secretariat was transformed into a vibrant display of purple as various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies came together to show their solidarity against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV). A significant moment was the strong endorsement from the Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, who reiterated the government’s commitment to delivering justice to survivors and holding offenders accountable. He praised the continuous efforts of the DSVA and assured that the Public Service Office would remain a steadfast ally to the Agency.

The campaign also garnered notable support from the Office of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which bolstered the message for a Lagos that firmly rejects SGBV.
To enhance the involvement of public servants, TelMD Nigeria, in collaboration with DSVA, offered free health screenings and medical consultations at the Secretariat. Under the leadership of Executive Secretary Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, the DSVA team, along with public servants, stakeholders, and NGOs, actively participated in the Alausa campaign, utilizing chants, awareness messages, and adorning staff with purple ribbons—an international emblem of solidarity against Domestic and Sexual Violence.
