On Monday, August 25, 2025, Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, praised the Body of Permanent Secretaries, calling them the intellectual backbone of the Lagos State Public Service and the most dynamic group of Permanent Secretaries in Nigeria.

He made these comments during the opening ceremony of the second edition of the Strategic Leadership and Management Course (SLMC2), aimed at Permanent Secretaries within the Lagos State Public Service. This event took place at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies – Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona School of Governance Studies, located on the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) Campus.

The ceremony was graced by prominent attendees, such as Prof. Ayo Omotayo, Director-General of NIPSS; Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Olufemi Onasanya; Secretary/Director of Administration, Mr. Suleiman Muhammad Kabir; Director of Studies, Barr. Nima Salman Mann; Director of Research, Dr. Musa Umar; and other management personnel from NIPSS.
Agoro asserted that ongoing training and development programs for Lagos State Public Servants are crucial for enhancing participants’ skills, noting that the Lagos State Government is committed to building capacity to enhance and transform the Public Service.
