At the handover ceremony, Mrs. Bimbo Oloyede, the Chief Executive Officer of LADI and a seasoned broadcaster, spoke about the purpose behind selecting the Oncology Department for this donation. She shared her family’s personal encounters with cancer, having lost relatives to the illness. As a cancer survivor, she was motivated to make a more meaningful contribution beyond just providing food.
“We aimed to create a more significant impact due to our personal experiences with cancer,” she remarked. “Our organization, founded to address these challenges, chose to focus on cancer, leading us to donate items that offer comfort and convenience to patients, including wheelchairs, chairs, footstools, and motivational frames.”
