The enforcer has joined the squad of the two-time CAF Champions League champions to strengthen their midfield.

Boni is versatile enough to play in various positions across the midfield, a quality that will enhance the People’s Elephant in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The Hellenic product is a right-footed central midfielder who can function as a number eight or in a more defensive capacity. When he plays as a pivot—whether alone or as part of a duo—he tends to occupy the central lane more frequently.

Abubakar Boni, who previously played for Kwara United, was included in Enyimba’s midweek match against Nasarawa United in Lafia, although he remained an unused substitute.
