In Nigeria, applicants must hold a minimum Second Class Upper (2:1) degree or HND Upper Credit obtained no earlier than 2023, have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) by September 2025 with a valid certificate, be fluent in English, possess a valid international passport, and be Nigerian citizens.

Desired skills include partnership and business development, digital marketing, analytical abilities, technology security awareness, strong communication, and research capabilities.

Candidates are expected to demonstrate MTN values such as leadership, innovation, relationships, integrity, and a can-do attitude, along with behaviours like complete accountability, collaboration, and candour.

Similar opportunities have been advertised in other markets, including South Africa (typically a 12-month programme with rotations across networks, IT, data, finance, marketing, HR, and supply chain) and South Sudan. Age ranges often fall between approximately 20 and 27, with a strong academic record preferred.

Applications for the Nigeria track closed on 14 November 2025 in the previous cycle; prospective candidates for future intakes or other markets should monitor the official MTN careers portal and LinkedIn channels for announcements, as windows typically open in the final quarter of the year for the following cohort.

Interested graduates are advised to prepare supporting documents such as academic transcripts, NYSC certificates (where applicable), and passports in advance.

The GGDP forms part of MTN’s broader talent pipeline efforts to support its digital transformation goals across the continent, with past cohorts producing hundreds of graduates who advance into permanent roles.
