Nigerian Navy Recruitment 2026 Batch 39 Basic Training School is Open

The Nigerian Navy is inviting applications from qualified Nigerian citizens for its 2026 Recruitment Exercise into the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School, Batch 39.

The exercise is open to candidates across different qualification levels including O’Level, OND/NCE, trade certificate holders, medical professionals and others.

Application is 100% FREE — no payment should be made to anyone at any point during the exercise. Online registration runs from 2 to 31 October 2026. Successful applicants will undergo basic military training and on completion will be recruited into the Service as Ordinary Seamen.

Requirements:

• Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth and possess a National Identification Number (NIN)
• Minimum height of 1.69m for males and 1.65m for females
• Must be medically, psychologically and physically fit and meet Nigerian Navy medical and employment standards
• Must be free of any previous criminal conviction by a court of law
• Must be proficient in the use of the English Language
• Only one application permitted — multiple applications will lead to disqualification

Age and qualification requirements by category:

• O’Level/SSCE holders: aged 18-22 years as at 31 December 2026 | Minimum 5 credits including Mathematics and English in not more than 2 sittings in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB not older than 2020
• OND/NCE holders: aged 18-26 years as at 31 December 2026 | Minimum 5 credits including Mathematics and English in not more than 2 sittings in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB not older than 2015
• Chaplain/Imam Assistants and Drivers/Mechanics: aged 18-28 years as at 31 December 2026
• Tradesmen (Tailoring, Carpentry, Plumbing, Masonry, Welding, Electrician, Painting, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology): must possess Trade Test certificates and a credit in English Language with minimum of 4 passes in other subjects in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB not later than 2017
• Medical-allied professions: must possess ND from a recognised Nigerian training institution and a valid practicing licence
• Sportsmen/women: must present evidence of experience including certificates and medals

• Acknowledgement Form
• Parent/Guardian Consent Form
• Local Government Attestation Form (to be signed by a military officer of the rank of Commander in the NN or equivalent, or a Police officer of the rank of Superintendent and above, or Local Government Chairman)
• Guarantor’s Certification Form
