Nigerian international Chiamaka Nnadozie has cemented her status as Africa’s top female goalkeeper by winning the CAF Goalkeeper of the Year award for the third successive time.
The Super Falcons star was honored at the 2025 CAF Awards ceremony, which took place on Wednesday, November 19, at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Rabat, Morocco. Nnadozie was selected ahead of fellow nominees Khadija Er-Rmichi of Morocco and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini.

Nnadozie’s stellar form continued on the international stage, where she was a key figure in the Super Falcons’ successful campaign to secure a record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title. Her outstanding performance, which included four clean sheets, earned her the tournament’s best goalkeeper award.
Following her WAFCON success, Nnadozie transferred to the Women’s Super League, joining Brighton & Hove Albion. She made an instant impression in England, securing the Player of the Match award in her debut game. Her strong start has already led to nominations for the WSL Save of the Month and the PFA WSL Fans’ Player of the Month for October.
This latest accolade from CAF marks another significant achievement in Nnadozie’s rapidly advancing career, solidifying her reputation as one of the most promising talents in global women’s football.
