DreamStar Ladies stunned NWFL Premiership side, Pacesetter Queens to clinch their first win of the tournament.
Khadijat Anifowoshe’s 15th-minute strike was enough to seal a three-point win against Pacesetter Queens who showed glimpses of brilliance in the encounter.
Dannaz Ladies 2-0 Nakamura FA
Goals from Augusta Chukwuma and Zainab Raji cemented a two-goal win against Nakamura FA.
Both sides played a barren draw in the first half. Chukwuma gave the Cedars the lead in the 80th minute while Zainab cemented the win with an 83rd minute strike.
Nakamura FA will battle Pacesetter Queens in their next game, while Dannaz Ladies will compete against DreamStar Ladies.
Remo Stars Ladies 2-1 Robo Queens
Remo Stars Ladies came from a goal down to defeat Robo Queens 2-1 in the heavyweight clash of the Queens Cup Southwest Preseason Tourney.
Emmanuel Faith’s 11th-minute goal saw Robo Queens take the lead. Daniella Fagbenro’s stunning header in the 50th minute gave Remo Stars Ladies a lifeline.
