The programme, launched in Abuja in April 2026, invites passionate young Nigerians to join a nationwide network of youth leaders committed to driving meaningful social change.

About the YPAT Programme
The Young People’s Action Team (YPAT) serves as a platform for youth to actively influence policies, lead community-based initiatives, and amplify the voices of underserved populations across Nigeria.
Selected participants will collaborate with UNICEF, government institutions, development partners, and youth networks at local, national, and global levels.

Members of YPAT will:
* Advocate for youth-inclusive policies and programmes
* Design and implement community-driven projects
* Participate in advocacy campaigns and stakeholder engagements
* Contribute innovative ideas to support skills development, digital learning, and entrepreneurship
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
* Be between 10 and 29 years old
* Be a Nigerian citizen residing in the state of application
* Show strong passion for youth advocacy and community development
* Commit to one full year of volunteering (both online and in-person)
No prior work experience is required, making it an accessible opportunity for students and young changemakers.
