UPE Primary School, Siriwon added to Lekki LCDA school library initiative

As part of the ongoing follow-up to the establishment of functional libraries in public primary schools across the Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), UPE Primary School, Siriwon, has emerged as one of the beneficiaries of the education-focused initiative.

The programme, approved by the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), is aimed at strengthening foundational learning by improving access to books and promoting a strong reading culture among pupils in public schools.

With the inclusion of UPE Primary School, Siriwon, the initiative continues to gain momentum, bringing the total number of beneficiary schools in the current phase to eight public primary schools across the LCDA.

Education stakeholders have described the project as a strategic investment in the future of children within the council, noting that functional libraries play a critical role in enhancing literacy, creativity, and academic performance at the primary level.
