“My dad is like Mohbad’s dad,” Portable said in the clip. “He has taken all my shoes and clothes and he’s just after my properties. He has all my baby mama phone numbers and he bills them for money all the time.”

Portable went beyond recent events, accusing his father of failing to support him during his formative years. The singer claimed he was denied basic opportunities, including formal education and vocational training.

“You didn’t send me to school. Even when I wanted to learn tailoring, you didn’t pay,” he lamented, adding that his life improved significantly after distancing himself from his father.

“My life is good when you’re not with me,” the singer stated bluntly.

The reference to Mohbad (Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba) struck a nerve within Nigeria’s music community.

Following Mohbad’s death, public feuds involving his father and other family members dominated headlines, raising broader concerns about family interference, exploitation, and entitlement in the entertainment industry.

Many fans see Portable’s accusations as another example of how fame and financial success can bring long-standing family tensions to the surface.
