VIDEO: UBA staff seen escaping through windows as Lagos Island branch catches fire

A branch of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) on Lagos Island has gone up in flames, sparking panic among workers and residents in the area.

The cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed, but videos circulating on social media show staff of the bank desperately attempting to escape from the upper floors of the building.

Some were seen climbing out through windows in a bid to avoid the thick smoke inside.
