Long-standing Impact
Since its inception in 2015, the Maltina Teacher of the Year award has recognized over 300 teachers. It enjoys support from key education stakeholders, including the Federal Ministry of Education, the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), the All Nigeria Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), and the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
The grand finale, where the 2026 winner will be announced, is scheduled for October 30, 2026.14
