The Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, has commended the Dangote Group for its continued investment in education and youth development following the latest edition of its Holistic Education Intervention Programme (HEIP) held in Ibeju-Lekki.
The initiative featured the 6th edition of the Dangote Scholarship Award Programme, during which 442 students from host communities were awarded scholarships. The beneficiaries include 410 secondary school students and 32 students from tertiary institutions.

Over 3,700 Pupils Receive Educational Support
In addition to the scholarships, the programme also saw the distribution of educational materials, including school bags, uniforms, and sandals, to more than 3,700 pupils across selected primary and secondary schools within the Lekki host communities.

Kasali Commends Dangote’s Commitment
In his goodwill message, Rasaki Bamidele Kasali praised the organisation for its sustained contributions to the education sector in the Lekki axis.
He urged the company to expand the initiative to benefit more communities while encouraging the student beneficiaries to remain focused and disciplined in their academic journey.
“Education remains a critical pathway to a better future, and initiatives like this will continue to shape the next generation of leaders,” he noted.

The event attracted key dignitaries, including the Onilekki of Lekki, Oba Liasim Ogunbekun, alongside other traditional rulers and stakeholders.
Also present were Engr. Devakuma Edwin, Vice President (Oil and Gas) at Dangote Group, and the Secretary to the Local Government, Dr. Bukola Sanusi, among others.
