In response, security agencies have intensified operations around the region and are actively monitoring the situation to prevent further attacks and restore safety. However, officials have not yet confirmed whether there were any casualties from the explosion.

Images and videos from the location reveal the bridge in ruins, forcing residents to find alternative and often dangerous routes.

This latest incident has heightened concerns in Niger State, particularly in Borgu LGA, where residents have repeatedly faced violence. Earlier this year, a market attack claimed the lives of dozens, intensifying unease among the community.

Local residents are worried that the destruction of essential infrastructure like bridges could lead to increased insecurity and further isolate already at-risk communities.
