The position falls under EY’s International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) Advisory sub-service line.
The successful candidate will lead teams delivering a wide range of services to multinational clients, including cross-border tax advisory, tax restructuring, tax due diligence, and support for regulatory approvals such as those from the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP) and Pioneer Status Incentive (PSI) applications.
Key Responsibilities
– Lead and deliver complex international tax projects while providing technical advice on local and international tax laws, double tax treaties, and regulatory matters.
– Drive business development by identifying new opportunities, expanding client relationships, and contributing to marketing initiatives.
– Manage client portfolios and relationships with regulators, including tax authorities, NOTAP, and the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission.
– Oversee project execution with a strong focus on quality, risk management, engagement economics, and timely cash collection.
– Provide thought leadership on tax matters and keep clients informed of regulatory changes.
– Mentor, coach, and develop junior team members.

The role demands a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in international tax services, preferably gained in a multinational corporation or professional services firm (Big 4 or similar).
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree (minimum Second Class Upper) and be members of recognised professional bodies; ICAN or ACCA, and CITN.
Strong project management, analytical, communication, and leadership skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
