In a dramatic display of voter confidence, AMA garnered 33,696 votes to overwhelmingly defeat his opponent, Mr. Matti Olakunle, who managed only 114 votes.
The direct primary election saw a total of 33,810 votes cast across the constituency, cementing AMA’s position as a stalwart of the ruling party. The result is being lauded as a clear endorsement of the incumbent’s impressive performance and his continued, impactful representation of the Ikorodu Constituency II people.
In a remarkable show of loyalty to AMA, Matti Olakunle recorded zero votes in Igbogbo/Baiyeku, highlighting a complete monopoly of support across all four wards in that area.
