Notable lawmakers who did not secure the APC nomination include Majority Leader Hon. Noheem Adams, Chief Whip Hon. Fatai Mojeed, Deputy Chief Whip Hon. Setonji David, and Surulere Constituency I’s Desmond Elliot. Others affected include Gbolahan Ogunleye (Ikorodu Constituency I), Lanre Afini (Lagos Island I), Stephen Ogundipe (Oshodi/Isolo I), Obafemi Saheed (Kosofe II), Bonu Solomon (Badagry II), Emmanuel Oloto (Ifako-Ijaiye II), Jubreel Abdulkareem (Agege II), and Apata Samuel (Somolu Constituency II).
The removal of these lawmakers represents a significant political upheaval in the Lagos State House of Assembly as veteran legislators forfeit their chances for re-election under the APC banner.
Ongoing efforts within the party aim to reconcile dissatisfied candidates and their supporters, yet protests and grievances regarding the primary outcomes persist, with some members demanding the party leadership reverse what they consider unfair substitutions to avoid further internal conflict.
