The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) is inviting applications for its Internship Programme. This is a unique opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate students to gain practical experience in trade finance, international trade, and African economic development at one of Africa’s leading financial institutions.

About the Internship
The programme is designed for highly motivated students who wish to contribute to Africa’s trade transformation while developing their professional skills. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on exposure to the Bank’s operations and mandate.
Eligibility Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme at a recognised institution in the year of the internship.
- Preferred fields of study: Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Social Sciences, Statistics, Law, Sciences, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Nationals of Afreximbank Group member states, students of African descent in the diaspora, or non-African students whose vision aligns with the Bank’s mission.
- Fluency in English or French, with working knowledge of the other language. Knowledge of Arabic or Portuguese is an added advantage.
- Aged between 20 and 32 years in the year of application.
- Children of Afreximbank staff are not eligible.

Benefits
- Monthly tax-free stipend of USD 1,000.
- Housing allowance of USD 500 per month for interns relocating from their home countries (total support of up to USD 1,500 monthly).
- Hotel accommodation (bed and breakfast) for one week during the induction period.
- Airport transfers on arrival and departure.
- Medical insurance for the duration of the internship.
