Emeruwa explained that the five-day inspection mission aimed to assess proposed venues and evaluate logistical preparedness for both the awards gala in Lagos and the accompanying CAF General Assembly in Abuja. Scheduled for December 7, the prestigious ceremony honours the continent’s finest footballers, coaches, and national teams, drawing global figures from across African football and FIFA.
The CAF delegation also requested strategic collaboration with the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) to drive extensive publicity across the metropolis, while proposing that state authorities lead the ceremony’s security operations in close partnership with CAF’s internal security team.
