What FEDSA President said

FEDSA President, Adesanya Ibrahim, speaking to The Lagos Voice, emphasized the inclusive and empowering nature of the program.

“The idea of the program was championed by the Sharma Dean Imole Foundation, the convener. What he did was to involve all indigenous student bodies and allow us to take charge and drive the initiative in our division,” he said.

Ibrahim explained that the competition structure was designed to identify the top performers from each Local Council Development Area (LCDA) within the division.

“We selected first-place winners from each LCDA both junior and senior categories. These finalists competed at the grand finale, where the best three in each category were selected to move on to the state level,” he added.

Winners of the competition received cash prizes of ₦20,000, alongside trophies, notebooks, and educational materials.

The event was generously sponsored by Indomie Nigeria, which provided noodles for participants, and Bigi Drinks, who supplied refreshments and writing materials.

“Indomie and Bigi brought colour and cheer to the program. Their partnership was crucial in making this event memorable,” said Ibrahim.

As the selected schools prepare to represent Epe Division at the State-Level Debate Championship, FEDSA remains committed to promoting education, leadership, and meaningful student engagement.

“Together, we are nurturing a generation of bold thinkers, responsible leaders, and articulate voices. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this success. The journey has just begun,” FEDSA said in a statement.
