According to eyewitnesses at the club’s training ground in Ibadan, Oyo State, Olowokere collapsed while actively participating in the team’s morning drills.

He was immediately attended to by medical personnel before being rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

He enjoyed a successful playing career with Sunshine Stars before transitioning into coaching, where he served as an assistant under Edith Agoye at the same club.
The late coach was unveiled only recently as part of the new Shooting Stars technical crew, following the club’s decision to part ways with the Gbenga Ogunbote-led coaching team.
