Lagos APC fires back at ADC over Criticism of President Tinubu

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday sharply rebuked the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for its recent criticism of President Bola Tinubu, dismissing the opposition party’s comments as an “infantile rant.”

The ADC had previously accused President Tinubu of prioritizing politics over governance in the face of escalating insecurity across Nigeria. The opposition party also condemned the distribution of vehicles for a potential re-election campaign, urging the President to resign if he felt overwhelmed by the nation’s challenges.

In a firm response, Lagos APC spokesman Mogaji Seye Oladejo questioned the ADC’s credibility to offer guidance on national leadership. He characterized the ADC as a party surviving on “political leftovers” attempting to lecture a sitting president.

In a statement, Oladejo remarked, “The party that cannot manage a ward wants to manage the nation.”

He continued, “For clarity, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is governing Nigeria, not campaigning. But we understand why the ADC is confused: leadership is a language they neither understand nor speak.”

Oladejo further mocked the ADC’s political standing, stating, “It is nothing short of political comedy for a party that cannot win a councillorship election in its own backyard to accuse the President of early campaigns.”

He concluded by advising the ADC not to “mistake its own obscurity for a national emergency.”
