The Fidipote family noted that the Fusengbuwa House was notified on December 2, 2025, but did not submit any candidates by the deadline of December 16, 2025.

Referencing Section 16(1)(c) of the law and the Awujale Chieftaincy Declaration from 1959, the Fidipote Ruling House declared that it is now in line to propose candidates to the kingmakers.

As a result, the family has informed the relevant authorities of its plan to present candidates and has invited the local government secretary or a representative to attend their meeting on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in Ijebu-Ode.

The Fidipote Ruling House pledged that the selection process will be carried out in a peaceful, transparent manner, adhering strictly to legal requirements and customary practices.
