The required registration aims to foster accountability, reduce criminal activities, and ensure the safety of residents and commuters who heavily depend on commercial motorcycles for transportation.

As part of the program, all Okada riders must obtain official identification, and registered operators will receive distinctive identification stickers to place on their motorcycles, facilitating easy identification and verification by security personnel.

The local government has urged riders to comply with this directive promptly, warning that those who fail may face penalties according to existing regulations.

Community leaders and union representatives have also been encouraged to mobilize their members to ensure the smooth execution of this initiative.

Reiterating its dedication to the security and welfare of residents, the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government emphasized that this initiative reflects its commitment to maintaining law and order and fostering a safer, more organized transportation system.
