The Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State is set to host a major youth development summit titled “A Day with the Executive Chairman” on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
The initiative aims to empower young people and strengthen engagement between the local government leadership and the community’s youth.
Council Executive Chairman Princess Surah Animashaun emphasized that the event is part of ongoing efforts to promote youth participation in governance and sustainable development.
The summit promises an interactive experience, including direct engagement with the Executive Chairman. Young attendees will benefit from mentorship, knowledge sharing, and open conversation designed to foster leadership skills and civic awareness.
A highlight of the day will be a youth-led panel discussion, where emerging leaders will address pressing community challenges, propose innovative solutions, and discuss strategies for sustainable development in Epe.
As part of the initiative, the Executive Chairman will provide financial support to 100 young women. This effort is aimed at promoting education, creating opportunities, and empowering girls to contribute meaningfully to the local economy and community growth.
