The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has officially resumed full operations on the Abuja–Kaduna rail route following an incident that resulted in injuries to multiple passengers.
The NRC stated that normal services have been reinstated thanks to the prompt action of its technical team, allowing passengers to travel once again on this line.

At least 26 passengers were reported injured during the incident near Asham, where a technical malfunction caused a detached locomotive to collide with a passenger coach on the train, which was carrying over 400 passengers.
