AFCON 2025: CAF bans Alcohol, laser lights, bags and others

The tournament, set to kick off on December 21, will see strict security measures implemented across all stadiums. According to a statement released on CAF’s official website, all fans will undergo security screenings before entering the grounds.

The governing body has urged spectators to comply with the rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable match-day experience for everyone.

To avoid any issues at the gates, fans are strongly advised to leave all prohibited items at home. The list of banned articles includes, but is not limited to, alcohol, bags of a certain size, and other objects that could pose a security risk.

In related news, preparations for the tournament are already underway for some teams. The Nigerian Super Eagles officially began their training camp in Cairo, Egypt, on Sunday.

The coaching staff and support personnel have established their base at the Renaissance Hotels, finalizing all technical and logistical details ahead of the players’ arrival for the intensive buildup to the continental showpiece.
