A few days after being sworn in by the Governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Adetola Abubakar, Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, has kicked the ball rolling by giving accounts of what she has done in her first week of office.

🔗 Join Our ChannelAdetola revealed this on her X page, giving a detailed account of her first week in office. She stated that her first move started from the schools in Irepodun to Alapere and Arowosegbe, where she met with the headmistresses and also inspected the classrooms.

According to her, she has recognised the needs of the schools and will spare no effort in fulfilling their needs.
She said, “I started where the future begins, our schools. From Irepodun to Alapere to Arowosegbe, I met with headmistresses, walked through classrooms, and listened. The needs are clear; These are not just buildings. They’re dreams in progress; we will act with urgency and sincerity.”

She also proceeded to the Primary Health Centres at Mascara, where she inspected and engaged the officials, including the nurses and also observed the ongoing constructions. She vowed that health must be accessible, dignified and dependable.

“Healthcare is a right, and that’s exactly how we’ll treat it”, she added.
The new Chairman also visited the Agboyi-Ketu Tech Hub, where she stated that the youth in the area deserve platforms to grow, innovate and thrive. She said that the Tech Hub must be more than a building.
Adetola promised to empower the youths with the digital tools they need to succeed. She said, “It must be a space where lives are transformed through digital inclusion and opportunity. We will empower it to empower you. These visits are not photo ops, they are part of a promise.”

The Agboyi Ketu Chairman also reminded the residents that her latest move was guided by the vision she shared during the campaign season.
She added, “Every step I took was guided by the vision I shared with you during the campaign. Leadership is about presence, empathy, and service. This is the style of governance I bring to Agboyi-Ketu. Compassionate. Strategic. Inclusive.”
She also put forward her 8-point Agenda, which will serve as the roadmap to govern the area. The 8-Point Agenda are: Infrastructural and Grassroots Economic Development, Youth and Women Empowerment, Education Accessible and Quality Healthcare, Food Security and Social Welfare.
Others are Job Creation and Local Employability, Digital and Inclusive Governance, Security and Civic Engagement.
