The Cultural Day event also served as a prelude to the main AMVCA ceremony scheduled for Saturday night, where actors, filmmakers, and creatives from across the continent will be honoured for their contributions to film and television.
The Lagos Voice reports this year’s awards will feature 32 categories, including both audience-voted and jury-selected awards, with new indigenous language film categories to promote African representation in cinema.
