In a video shared with reporters, Igboho asserted that anyone campaigning for either of these politicians in the Yoruba region would face repercussions.

He emphasized that political mobilization for Atiku or Obi would not be accepted anywhere in Yorubaland. “Anyone who campaigns for Atiku or Obi in Yorubaland will be dealt with,” he stated in the video directed at his supporters.
The activist reaffirmed his strong support for Nigeria’s current president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, claiming that the South-West will consistently back the president as the next general election approaches.

Igboho remarked that residents of Lagos and other Yoruba-speaking states would fully support Tinubu, often referred to as Asiwaju, if he runs for a second term in 2027. He added that the region would maintain its political alignment with the president and work to secure his re-election.
These remarks followed Igboho’s return to Nigeria on January 26, 2026, after spending several years abroad. His return came after the Federal Government removed him from the list of wanted individuals.
