Hon. Fawole Ayowole Ezekiel has formally declared his intention to contest for the Somolu Constituency 01 seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, promising to usher in what he described as “true change” for the people.
In a statement addressed to residents of Somolu, Ezekiel said his decision followed extensive consultations with community leaders and stakeholders, as well as a growing desire among residents for a new direction in leadership.

“It is time for change. For too long, we have endured leadership that does not fully understand or respond to the pain, struggles, and voices of our people,” he said.

He stressed that Somolu deserves leadership that is accessible, compassionate, and committed to the welfare of the people, adding that effective representation must be rooted in trust, dignity, and accountability.
Outlining his vision, Ezekiel highlighted youth development and support for small businesses as key priorities if elected.
According to him, investing in young people and equipping them with skills for a technology-driven future is critical to the growth of the constituency. He also pledged to support local entrepreneurs, describing small businesses as the backbone of Somolu’s economy.

Reiterating his campaign message, Ezekiel called on residents to embrace a new direction built on unity, progress, and shared purpose.
“There is hope in true change, and that change begins when we make the right choice of leadership,” he stated.
