This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr Magdalene Ajani.
According to the statement, the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion, while urging them to reflect on the Prophet’s exemplary life.

He called on the Muslim Ummah to embrace the Prophet’s virtues of peace, love, humility, tolerance, and compassion, noting that these values are vital for building a united and progressive nation.
“The celebration of Eid-ul-Mawlid offers us yet another opportunity to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, promote peaceful coexistence, and imbibe the Prophet’s teachings of mutual respect and selfless service to humanity,” Tunji-Ojo said.

The Minister further encouraged Nigerians of all faiths to use the occasion to rededicate themselves to the service of the nation, stressing that unity and peaceful coexistence remain the bedrock of national development.
