Foreign investors are experiencing significant gains in Nigeria, fueled by Tinubu’s reforms, EU Envoy says

Gautier Mignot, the EU Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS, highlighted that Nigeria continues to be an appealing destination for investors, calling it a nation filled with ‘vast untapped potential’ despite the existing regulatory and infrastructure obstacles.

In a conversation on ARISE News ahead of the Nigeria–EU Business Forum, he emphasized that reforms are enhancing investor trust.

‘We believe there is immense untapped potential for investment,’ he commented.

Additionally, he mentioned that the EU is facilitating private investment and supporting critical sectors through its Global Gateway Strategy.

‘We are viewing Nigeria with optimism,’ he remarked.

‘We observe a multitude of sectors with potential,’ he noted. He also acknowledged the EU’s ongoing assistance for Nigeria’s broadband expansion project while addressing challenges like electricity supply.

He expressed hope that the forum would boost partnerships and investments, adding that many foreign investors already in Nigeria are seeing returns.

“Investors who are already in Nigeria are satisfied with their investments and are making money,” he said.
