Amina recounted her personal struggle, saying, “At night, when I needed water, I had to wait till morning because the water source is far from my house. I wouldn’t go out at night; I’d rather wait for morning to fetch water.” With visible relief, she exclaimed “Alhamdulillah! This new well is hope to us.”
Not Just Well, But Health, Education, and Civic Awareness, A Holistic Approach to Community Empowerment
Following the well commissioning ceremony in Masama town, the F3KB also delivered several awareness sessions which aim at changing and shaping the lives of the Masama community, especially the youths.

We can not move forward without having a good formal education,” he emphasized that every parent should make sure they educate their children for the betterment of their lives.
Education is Everybody’s Right, Your Girls Deserves More — Aisha Bashar
Aisha Bashar, a girl child advocate, advised the community to educate their female children. She emphasized that educating a girl child not only builds the girl child’s career but also prepares them for their married life.
In her statement: “Women can be supportive in their husband’s house. They can do more better but the key to that is eduction.” Aisha also stressed that there is a need for popular participation in civic activities such as political awareness, National Identification Number (NIN) registration, and Personal Voter’s Card acquisition.
The secretary of the association, Jibril Abdullahi reiterated Aisha’s remark, pointing out the need for a Voters Card and National Identification card.
“The Fulanis are lacking in civic participation today. Some don’t even see us as Nigerians because of these things. So let us improve ourselves by having our own voter’s card to vote for the right leaders and also the national identity card to be recognized as individuals of the country.” He underscored, adding that, “it is time to allow our children to benefit from the liberty of education.”
Insecurity measures were also not left behind. Aminu Muhammad Mashayabo, the Director of Education and Enlightenment, advised the community to remain vigilant in pressing insecurity situations. He urged them to remain cooperative in safeguarding their lives and properties.
Faruk Umar Ja’afar, the chairman of Fulbe Future Forum Kebbi State, expressed his profound gratitude to his team and the Masama community for their warm reception and active participation in the event.
“He stated, “Today marks another day we are putting smiles on the entire community’s face. I am so happy about our achievements today. Making an impact is all that we want and our journey towards empowering communities like this has just begun. All thanks to the forum members.
“As we celebrate this achievement, we will continue to advocate for the rights of our communities, pushing for quality education, healthcare, and security. Together, we can build a brighter future for our children and communities.”
