Adeleke emphasized that dancing is a personal hobby and a form of worship that does not detract from his commitment to governing the state.

“Let me tell you something. I will keep dancing because I love to dance, I love to praise my God,” he stated. “That doesn’t change anything. Everybody has their way of relaxing or a hobby. My hobby is to dance and praise my God. That does not affect my work.”

The governor’s comments come amid significant political developments. On Tuesday, Adeleke reportedly resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the Accord Party. Following this move, the Accord Party officially presented him with its gubernatorial ticket on Wednesday during its primary elections in Osogbo, positioning him for the 2026 race.
