Personnel from the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Ibeju-Lekki Community Corps (Folumo), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the Nigerian Forests Security Services (Hunters) have been assigned to schools, major entry points, and surrounding areas.

Hon. Olowa noted that the decision reflects the government’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, especially the welfare of schoolchildren who are considered the most vulnerable members of the community.
The council chairman appealed to school administrators and parents to maintain close collaboration with the deployed operatives. He encouraged them to promptly report any suspicious behaviour or threats that could compromise student safety.
Hon. Olowa reaffirmed that his administration remains focused on ensuring Ibeju-Lekki remains a conducive environment for learning and growth.
“Our priority is to guarantee a safe environment for a thriving tomorrow,” he said, emphasizing the administration’s dedication to proactive security governance.
