In a statement released on Friday, July 24, 2026, the union’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Suleiman Shuaib Dagbo, affirmed the organization’s support for the senior officer. The IEDPU, which serves as the primary sociocultural body for the people of the Ilorin Emirate in Kwara State, highlighted AIG Jimoh’s long-standing reputation as a champion of peace, fairness, and justice within the Nigeria Police Force.

IEDPU National President, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, stated that the Emirate has been closely monitoring allegations made against AIG Jimoh by a social media commentator regarding the Ajiran murder case.

Describing AIG Jimoh as an alumnus of one of the union’s schools, Alhaji Abdulmalik emphasized that the officer has cultivated a strong reputation for dedication, professionalism, and a commitment to justice throughout his career.
