Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has revealed that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, his first public acknowledgment of his fight against the disease.

At 76 years old, he shared this information following his annual medical examination. A social media statement mentioned that doctors had found a malignant tumor under one centimeter in size during a follow-up after his December 2024 surgery for an enlarged prostate.

Medical documents from the Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that the cancer was caught early and had not metastasized. One doctor’s report referred to it as a “very small lesion with no metastases,” suggesting a high likelihood of successful treatment.

According to an Israeli source familiar with the situation, Netanyahu received the diagnosis several months ago and subsequently underwent targeted radiation therapy, which he recently completed.

He reported that the treatment was successful and that the tumor has “completely disappeared,” affirming his good health and characterizing the situation as a minor issue that has been effectively resolved.
