Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, the General Manager of LASEPA, addressed the issue during the enforcement exercise, reaffirming the agency’s dedication to protecting the environment and ensuring compliance with the law.
“Noise pollution and other environmental abuses threaten the quality of life and well-being of residents,” Ajayi stated. He emphasized that sealing the facility underscores the agency’s commitment to maintaining environmental standards across Lagos.
Ajayi added that the action aligns with the state government’s goals for environmental sustainability and is a clear demonstration of LASEPA’s resolve to foster “a cleaner and healthier Lagos.”
The LASEPA chief urged both residents and business owners to adhere strictly to environmental laws, warning that the agency will maintain a zero-tolerance stance on violations to help build a sustainable and liveable city.
