The Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has distributed school bags to pupils of Community Primary School, Otolu, in a move aimed at improving learning conditions and supporting basic education within the council area.
The intervention followed reports that many pupils at the school attend classes with old or damaged school bags, while some are forced to carry their books by hand—an issue that has negatively affected their learning experience.

During his visit to the school, Engr. Kasali personally distributed large quantities of school bags to the pupils. Addressing them, he encouraged the children to study hard, maintain good behaviour, and make proper use of the materials provided.
He reiterated that education remains a top priority of his administration, noting that supporting pupils at the grassroots level is key to building a stronger future for the community.
The Chairman also disclosed that the school bag distribution exercise will not end at Otolu, as similar interventions are scheduled to take place in other public primary schools across Lekki LCDA throughout the week.
The initiative has been welcomed by school authorities and community members, who described it as a timely gesture that will ease the burden on pupils and their parents while boosting morale among young learners.
